We aren't just dry stone wallers, we are artists. Dry stone walling is an art-form where the limits are your imagination. With our passion for history and the natural world, we craft dry stone creations that are beautiful, functional and beneficial to the environment. As professional members of the Dry Stone Walling Association, we aim to keep this ancient craft alive for future generations to experience.
Dry stone walls have been a part of the British landscape for thousands of years. I feel greatly privileged to have the opportunity to maintain our heritage in stone. Everyday, you never know what you might come across, whether that be a hibernating toad or a silver knife that the previous waller left in the wall half a century ago. Dry stone walls tell us a history that is important to preserve.
When rebuilding a wall, I set aside unusual and interesting shaped stones & artifacts. I try to work these into my designs for my own unique flair. My customers often have architectural pieces of stone that I can work into a wall. These create a talking point and can turn a garden wall into a unique feature.
